Beyond the heavy financial penalties pending against the vehicle, the motorist failed to present any mandatory paperwork on the spot, prompting immediate official intervention.
Routine Inspection Near Medanta Area Uncovers Multiple Violations
The seizure took place during regular enforcement rounds in the Medanta area, where an on-duty traffic officer and their team flagged down the suspicious black SUV. When officers asked the driver to produce standard registration and legal driving documentation, the motorist was unable to show the necessary papers.
Police personnel then ran the vehicle through their verification system, which exposed a track record of unresolved infractions. An official stated, “जांच में पता चला कि वाहन पर मोटर वाहन अधिनियम के विभिन्न प्रावधानों के तहत छह चालान लंबित हैं, जिनमें कुल 46,500 रुपये का जुर्माना है.” This meant that multiple penalties issued under provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act had simply been ignored over an extended period.
Tinted Windows and Missing License Plates Prompt Vehicle Impoundment
Physical examination of the SUV revealed several visual and safety breaches in clear defiance of traffic regulations. The vehicle was operating without standard registration number plates, obscuring its identity on public roads. Additionally, dark film had been applied across its window glass, violating visible light transmission rules. Faced with missing documentation, illegal dark tints, absent plates, and massive unpaid dues, authorities impounded the vehicle under relevant clauses of the Motor Vehicles Act.

In both of those previous situations, traffic police impounded the two-wheelers.
