Panchkula Police took strict action against a vehicle showing off rowdy behavior and violating traffic guidelines. A Bolero car registered in Himachal Pradesh was intercepted and heavily fined near a prominent local intersection. The vehicle carried highly objectionable, provocative phrases and was outfitted with illegal tinted window films, prompting immediate police intervention.
Action Near Mansa Devi Temple Crossing
The incident took place on Thursday when the traffic police, operating under the directions of Commissioner of Police IPS Pankaj Nain, spotted the dusty SUV near the Mansa Devi temple traffic lights. According to DCP Crime and Traffic IPS Amrinder Singh, the vehicle, which bore a registration number from Rohru in Shimla, immediately drew attention due to the provocative stickers plastered on its rear and sides. Slogans like "Kidnapping Car" and "No Face, No Case" were boldly printed on it.
Heavy Fine and Removal of Black Film
The on-duty traffic personnel immediately stopped the Bolero and ordered the removal of the illegal black window films on the spot. In addition to forcing the driver to strip the tinted film, the Panchkula Traffic Police issued a compounding fine of ₹13,000 for multiple traffic offenses, including the use of unauthorized window tinting and offensive writing. Additional slogans on the vehicle's rear read, "Insured by Mafia, You hit me, We hit you," further reflecting a blatant disregard for law and order.
Warning Against Rowdy Behavior on Public Roads
Police Commissioner IPS Pankaj Nain issued a stern warning regarding the incident, emphasizing that such provocative slogans not only break traffic rules but also create a sense of fear and insecurity among everyday commuters. Nain stated, "Bullying or rowdy behavior on public roads will simply not be tolerated and strict enforcement will be done." He reiterated that the department has previously penalized similar vehicles and will continue to execute strict enforcement drives against anyone attempting to intimidate others or flout traffic safety guidelines.
