A horrifying crime has come to light in Bengaluru where a cab driver is accused of brutally murdering his wife and six members of her extended family. The accused meticulously planned the entire sequence of events, using sleeping pills mixed in food and employing elaborate methods to conceal the bodies and avoid detection by law enforcement agencies.
Domestic Discord and the Roots of the Conspiracy
The Mutton Feast and Sleeping Pill Strategy
Investigators probing the gruesome serial killings discovered that Indrashekar executed his plan with extreme premeditation. He would invite his targets to his home for lunch, prepare mutton dishes, and covertly mix high doses of sleeping pills into their food and drinks. Once the victims fell into a deep, induced slumber, he would take a heavy stone grinder to crush their skulls and end their lives before preparing to trap the next victim.
Masking Odors and Transporting Bodies
After each murder, Indrashekar utilized a chilling pattern to contain the evidence. He wrapped the lifeless bodies in approximately ten layers of adhesive tape to prevent blood leakage and contain the stench of decomposition. To further mask any foul odors, he liberally sprayed rose water around the premises. He temporarily concealed the corpses inside his residence before taking advantage of darkness to transport them in his Toyota Etios car to various remote locations. To bypass police checks and evade suspicion, he had pasted a Press sticker on the rear windshield of his vehicle, which has now been seized by the authorities.
The Sequence of the Murders
Police revealed that Sunitha was Indrashekar's very first victim, whom he struck with a stone grinder before dumping her body at Nandi Hills, subsequently lying to neighbors that she had gone on a trip with friends. He then invited his brothers-in-law, Shivakumar and Shankar, to his home under the guise of a celebratory gathering and killed them. The brutal spree continued as he systematically murdered their wives, Nalini and Divya, his mother-in-law Roopavati, and Shankar's seven-year-old son Puneet. The accused used strong chemicals to scrub the floors clean of bloodstains. Authorities are currently investigating whether anyone else assisted him in carrying out the mass murders, including examining the potential involvement of his own daughter.
