Tarun Indora, employed at the institution as a gardener, has stepped into the classroom to teach chemistry to students of classes 11 and 12. When an unexpected teacher shortage threatened the academic progress of science students, Tarun took the chalk and stepped up to the blackboard. Teacher Deputation Left Science Classes Stalled
The school had previously secured a dedicated chemistry lecturer following the introduction of the science stream. That educator, however, was subsequently placed on deputation to another government institution located in Panchkula. This departure left students in grades 11 and 12 without a dedicated subject specialist. With board preparations looming and vital foundational concepts pending, students faced serious academic disruption. The administrative team at the institution needed an immediate and reliable solution to keep the syllabus moving forward without waiting for extended administrative recruitment cycles.
Extensive Qualifications Behind Groundskeeping Work
Tarun Indora holds extensive academic and professional teaching credentials that contrast sharply with his employment role. Educated in the non-medical stream, he holds an MA and a BEd degree. Furthermore, he has cleared the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET), the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) at the TGT level, and has successfully qualified for the National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET) on two separate occasions. Teaching had been his primary aspiration since completing the 12th standard, after which he immediately began mentoring younger pupils. Because his father served in the Indian Army, Tarun assumed primary financial and domestic responsibilities as the eldest son, leading him to accept the gardener appointment. His past professional background also includes prior classroom teaching experience at RS Bal Mandir in Israna.
From Trial Lecture to Curriculum Progression
In July 2026, Principal Meena Kumari conducted an internal evaluation of the educational competencies among the existing school staff. During this review, administrators discovered that Tarun held complete academic eligibility and practical experience to deliver senior secondary chemistry lessons. Tarun was initially invited to deliver a trial lecture, during which he broke down complex scientific concepts through accessible explanations. Following overwhelmingly enthusiastic reviews from the attendees, the school formalized his classroom duties. He is currently instructing approximately three dozen students and has successfully covered roughly 20 percent of the syllabus ahead of their September examinations.

Vanshika, a student attending these chemistry sessions, noted that Tarun explains challenging topics using everyday language and relatable demonstrations. She added that he conducts regular classroom tests to assess their comprehension, ensuring that their curriculum proceeds smoothly and resolving earlier worries about falling behind. Vice Principal Lavnesh affirmed that while Tarun remains officially hired as a gardener, his non-medical educational credentials make him a thoroughly trained educator.
