The incident took place on June 24. Local residents in the area had alerted the police about a suspicious individual roaming in their locality. A police team responded and arrived at the spot, where they found that the person in question was in a state of intoxication. It was at this point that SPO Jayveer Singh lost his composure and turned physically violent against the youth.

It clearly shows SPO Jayveer Singh shoving the young man to the ground and kicking him before delivering 7 rapid slaps in a span of just 11 seconds. DCP Issues Dismissal Order Without Delay
The moment the matter came to the attention of DCP Panchkula Srishti Gupta, she reviewed the full episode with utmost seriousness and issued orders for the immediate dismissal of SPO Jayveer Singh from service, effective at once.
DCP Srishti Gupta was categorical in her message: indiscipline, misconduct, and abuse of power have absolutely no place within the police department at any level. She further stressed that the fundamental purpose of the police force is to protect ordinary citizens, maintain law and order, and treat every person with dignity and respect.
