The weather department has placed seven western and plateau districts on high alert due to the threat of intense precipitation. Garhwa, Palamu, Chatra, Latehar, Lohardaga, Gumla, and Hazaribagh are projected to experience heavy to very heavy rainfall in isolated pockets. Along with downpours, these regions face significant risks of lightning strikes and strong surface winds gusting between 30 and 40 km/h. Officials noted that while the primary alert focuses on these seven districts, atmospheric instability remains high state-wide, meaning almost all other areas are likely to experience light to moderate rain showers or thundershowers.

Rainfall and thunderstorm activities are also expected to intensify across north-eastern Jharkhand as well as the industrial hubs of Bokaro and Dhanbad. On September 10, intense weather will shift slightly eastwards, bringing heavy rain warnings to Ranchi, Ramgarh, Hazaribagh, Koderma, Bokaro, Dhanbad, and Giridih. The pattern of wide-scale showers and electrical storms will persist into September 11. By September 12, rainfall volume is projected to decline marginally, though isolated lightning threats and localized showers will remain active. Finally, September 13 and September 14 will likely see scattered cloudiness alongside isolated thundershowers.

In the capital city of Ranchi, maximum temperatures are expected to settle between 27 and 29 degrees Celsius. Conversely, south-eastern districts like East Singhbhum and Seraikela-Kharsawan continue to record higher temperature levels, where daytime highs reached 34 to 36 degrees Celsius around September 8. Meanwhile, Latehar is expected to record the lowest nighttime temperatures, dropping to around 20 degrees Celsius.
