Preparations for the upcoming Rajasthan Urban Local Body Elections 2026 are moving forward rapidly across the state. To enhance convenience for urban voters, the State Election Commission of Rajasthan has launched a dedicated online portal feature. Citizens across all municipalities in the state can now verify their inclusion in the electoral roll, check their assigned ward number, and retrieve complete polling station details directly through the commission's official portal at sec.rajasthan.gov.in.
Eliminating the Need to Visit Local Election Offices
This digital initiative by the election authority aims to simplify the voter verification procedure for urban residents. With this system active, voters no longer need to rely on physical visits to government offices or locate Block Level Officers (BLOs) to confirm their voting details. Residents can now instantly check their electoral status using their mobile phones or personal computers from the comfort of their homes.
Step-by-Step Methods to Search Electoral Roll Online
The feature has been enabled on the homepage of the official State Election Commission website through the dedicated 'Search Voter' tool. To cater to different users, the portal provides two distinct methods for locating voter entries
- Search by Personal Details: Voters can choose their respective district from the dropdown list, followed by selecting their urban local body. They must then enter their full name, father's or husband's name, and age to search the voter list.
- Search by Voter ID / EPIC Number: If a voter already possesses an Electoral Photo Identity Card (EPIC), they can simply select their district and enter their Voter ID or EPIC number directly to retrieve their information immediately.
Detailed Electoral Data Provided in Search Results
Once the required search details are submitted on the portal, a comprehensive voter record is displayed on the screen. The search output includes the following key information
- Name of the assigned urban local body and corresponding ward number
- Ward part number and the voter's specific serial number in the roll
- Voter's full name, gender, age, and registered house address
- Designated polling station serial number and its complete physical address
- Associated Assembly Constituency (AC), part number, and voter serial number
Election Commission Advisory and Rectification Guidance
The State Election Commission has issued an advisory requesting all urban voters in Rajasthan to verify their names on the portal well ahead of polling day. Commission officials highlighted that knowing the polling station address and electoral serial number in advance will prevent overcrowding, reduce confusion, and minimize waiting times at polling booths on the day of voting. Furthermore, if voters spot any errors in their personal records or find their names missing from the list, they are advised to immediately contact their local election officers or assigned BLO to complete necessary corrections prior to the elections.
