How To Claim Your Winnings
If your winning amount is below Rs 10,000, you can collect it from any designated retailer or lottery shop in Punjab. However, if the amount falls between Rs 10,000 and Rs 1 lakh, you will need to submit the winning ticket at the Punjab State Lottery Office. For prizes above Rs 1 lakh, the ticket has to be handed in at the Directorate of Lotteries (Punjab Govt.).
Keep in mind that tickets must be submitted within 30 to 90 days of the win. Along with the ticket, a few documents are required, and they are:
- The original winning ticket (signed on the reverse).
- A photocopy of your Aadhaar card or another government ID.
- Passport-size photographs.
- A filled-in application form (from the Punjab Lottery office or website).
- Bank account details (a copy of your passbook or a cancelled cheque).
It is worth repeating that the claim window is 30 to 90 days as per the rules of the scheme. Waiting too long can render your prize invalid, so claiming it on time is the smart move.
