A Splash of Wellness: Aqua Yoga Event Captivates Jodhpur
In the run-up to International Yoga Day, the city of Jodhpur is witnessing a wave of enthusiasm for health and fitness. Blending the ancient practice of yoga with the art of swimming, Krida Bharti Jodhpur Mahanagar organized a highly innovative Aqua Yoga session as part of its ongoing Yoga Week celebrations.
Held at the swimming pool located in the Gau Shala Ground, this unique event drew yoga practitioners, sports enthusiasts, and local citizens alike. Participants took to the water to perform various yogic postures under the surface, sending out a strong message about the importance of maintaining a healthy and balanced lifestyle. The novel experience of practicing yoga underwater was received with immense excitement by everyone present.
Enhancing Flexibility and Mental Focus Underwater
Highlighting the vision behind the initiative, Varun Dhanadia, President of Krida Bharti Jodhpur Mahanagar, stated that the goal of the event was to take yoga to all sections of society and introduce them to its diverse dimensions. He noted that thanks to the global efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, yoga has received widespread international recognition and has become a global symbol of holistic health.
Dhanadia added that the combination of yoga and swimming serves as an exceptionally effective way to boost body flexibility, improve balance, and sharpen mental concentration. Performing yoga under water offered the participants a completely refreshing and transformative experience.
Guided Session with Expert Instructors
The underwater yoga session was conducted under the expert supervision of swimming coach Surendra Soni and yoga instructor Harsh Jain. Under their careful guidance, the participants successfully executed several yogic postures, breathing exercises (pranayama), and balance-testing routines inside the water. The aquatic setting provided a rejuvenating boost to both the physical and mental well-being of the participants.
To wrap up the event on a cheerful note, the attendees participated in a collective laughter therapy session. The pool area buzzed with laughter, filling the surrounding environment with vibrant, positive energy. Mass Yoga Session at the Historic Jaswant Thada
Neeraj Kaushik, Secretary of Krida Bharti Jodhpur Mahanagar, shared that the organization consistently hosts innovative events every year to mark International Yoga Day. This year, under the dedicated Yoga Week, several unique activities are being introduced to keep the public engaged.
As part of these continuous efforts, Kaushik announced that a mass yoga session was scheduled for June 20 at 6:00 AM at the historic Jaswant Thada monument in Jodhpur. The core objective of these events remains raising awareness about yoga and motivating people to transition towards a more active, disciplined, and healthy life.
