Following a horrifying incident of gangrape, brutal assault, and robbery involving a 26-year-old female engineer and her fiancé in Madhya Pradesh's Guna district, administrative authorities have initiated strict action against all the accused. Within 24 hours of the heinous crime, law enforcement arrested all five accused individuals. Subsequently, a joint team from the Revenue and Forest Departments arrived at Borkheda village with heavy police enforcement and deployed bulldozers to completely demolish the illegal residential structures constructed by the perpetrators on encroached forest land. District officials affirmed that a strict zero-tolerance policy will continue to be enforced against individuals involved in heinous offenses.
Demolition of Illegal Encroachments on Forest Land

The 26-year-old victim, an engineer originally hailing from Kolkata, was returning on a motorcycle with her fiancé after offering prayers at the Hanuman Tekri temple. As their vehicle passed near a petrol pump along AB Road, three unidentified men riding a motorcycle pulled up behind them and tricked them into stopping by falsely claiming that their rear tire was punctured. As soon as the motorcycle came to a halt, the assailants snatched the ignition key, dragged the woman by her hair, and pulled her into the dense, dark woods running parallel to the highway. Once inside the forest, the three perpetrators contacted three additional accomplices via telephone, summoning them to the location.
Horrific Violence, Resistance, and Emergency Police Rescue
Deep inside the forest, the assailants violently assaulted both the woman and her fiancé using wooden sticks and physical blows. Threatening to murder them, the criminals forcibly robbed them of their mobile phones, wallets, and motorcycle. The male victim was bound and relocated to a separate section of the woods. Three of the attackers then tore the woman's clothes and subjected her to repeated sexual assault. The victim fought back fiercely, scratching and biting the attackers in an attempt to defend herself; however, the perpetrators bound her hands using her own attire. When she screamed for help, one of the assailants committed extreme violence by attempting to insert a wooden stick into her private parts, causing severe bleeding. The crime was interrupted when an alert passerby noticed suspicious movements near the forest edge and immediately dialed 112 to notify patrolling police units. As police patrol vehicles rushed to the scene with loud sirens, the perpetrators fled into the darkness to avoid arrest.

The arrested individuals have been identified as 23-year-old Bablu Banjara, son of Hiralal Banjara, resident of Borkheda village under Dharnavada police station; 28-year-old Chhotu Banjara, son of Mangilal Banjara, resident of Khajra village under Raghogarh police station; 30-year-old Sardar Banjara, son of Karma alias Karam Singh Banjara, resident of Vinyaki village under Raghogarh police station; 20-year-old Mahendra Banjara, son of Gabba Banjara, resident of Borkheda village under Dharnavada police station; and 28-year-old Dinesh Banjara, son of Gabba Banjara, resident of Borkheda village under Dharnavada police station. Police records confirmed that Dinesh Banjara has a prior criminal case registered against him for rape.
