A horrifying incident has come to light in Ugli village, situated within the Keolari tehsil of Madhya Pradesh's Seoni district, leaving local residents in a state of deep shock and anxiety. The severely burnt bodies of two individuals have been recovered from inside a residential house. The property belongs to a local teacher couple who had been mysteriously missing from their academic duties for the past two days, with nobody having any prior knowledge of their whereabouts. While the local police have initiated a comprehensive investigation into the matter, they have stated that the exact identification of the deceased individuals can only be established after a thorough DNA analysis.
Charred Remains and State of the Scene
The intensity of the fire was so extreme that both bodies discovered inside the house were completely incinerated, making it incredibly difficult for officials to identify them through normal means. According to the police, the bodies have been reduced almost entirely to ashes and skeletal remains. The physical evidence suggests a massive blaze, as the bed on which the bodies were found, along with an adjacent cooler, was entirely reduced to ashes. Because of the level of destruction, determining the identity of the victims has become a major challenge for the investigators. The missing homeowners have been identified as Malti Dhurve, a schoolteacher posted in Kumhada village under the Keolari block, and her husband Saman Singh Dhurve, who was employed as a teacher in Damijhola (Mohbarra). To resolve the uncertainty surrounding the identity of the remains, the police department has decided to utilize advanced forensic science. The teacher couple is survived by two children; their elder son is currently pursuing higher education in Indore, while their daughter is a student at a Navodaya residential school. Authorities have decided to conduct DNA profiling of both children. The DNA samples harvested from the children will be scientifically cross-referenced with the bone fragments and biological samples retrieved from the burnt bed, which will officially establish whether the recovered remains belong to their missing parents.
