Madhya Pradesh's police department saw a major late-night reshuffle with nine IPS officers transferred in one stroke. The state's Home Department carried out the move with the stated aim of tightening the administrative setup, changing the superintendents of police in charge of several districts while also handing new charges to IG and DIG level officers in a few police ranges.
Former Bhopal police commissioner gets a new posting
The most talked about name on the list is Harinarayan Chari Mishra, the former Bhopal Police Commissioner, who has now been posted as IG, Administration, at the police headquarters. Alongside him, sharp IPS officer Ruchivardhan Mishra, known for his distinctive working style, has been handed charge of the Bhopal, Rural, zone.
Changes in Narmadapuram, Sagar and Khargone too
Chandrashekhar Solanki has been made the new IG of Narmadapuram zone, while Mithilesh Shukla has taken over command of Sagar zone. In addition, Simala Prasad has been appointed DIG of Khargone range, adding to the growing list of officers with fresh responsibilities.
New SPs for Shahdol and Shajapur
According to the list issued by the Home Department, the superintendents of police in Shahdol and Shajapur districts have also been changed. Priyanka Shukla has been made the new SP of Shajapur, while Sanjay Kumar Agrawal has been handed the responsibility of SP for Shahdol district.
