A devastating road accident in Madhya Pradesh's Sehore district has shattered a family from Rajgarh district. On Monday afternoon, a violent head-on collision occurred between a truck and a Bolero vehicle near the Godi Jod intersection on the Ashta-Shujalpur road. The crash resulted in the tragic deaths of four residents from Bhiyapura village in Rajgarh district. The atmosphere in the village on Tuesday was one of profound grief as the final rites were performed for the four victims. Witnessing four funeral processions leaving simultaneously left the entire community in tears. The shock of the tragedy was so absolute that not a single hearth was lit in any house in Bhiyapura, and villagers abstained from eating food for the entire day.

Details of the Deceased and Injured

The individuals who lost their lives in the accident include Devi Ram Tanwar (60), his son Bane Singh Tanwar (25), and two cousins, Bhagwan Singh Tanwar (45) and Gulab Singh Tanwar (32), all residents of Bhiyapura. The collision also left several others injured, including Rajaram (son of Sunderlal, 45, from Biharpur), Indersingh (son of Nandram, 55), Radheshyam (son of Deviram, 38), and Hemraj (son of Mangilal, 25). All of these victims hail from Rajgarh district.

Traveling for Medical Treatment

According to villagers and grieving family members, Bane Singh Tanwar had been suffering from mental health issues for the past few days. His father, Devi Ram Tanwar, along with relatives Bhagwan Singh and Gulab Singh, had hired a Bolero vehicle from Amar Singh Tanwar of Simlade village to take him to Kantaphor village in Dewas district for treatment. Near the Godi Jod intersection close to Ashta in Sehore district, their vehicle was struck by an oncoming truck. The collision proved fatal for five people, including the driver of the Bolero.

Grief Across the Village

In a deeply emotional scene, the four victims were cremated together on a single pyre in Bhiyapura. The wife of the late Devi Ram Tanwar was inconsolable, recounting how they had set out with the hope of getting her son treated, only for the accident to claim the lives of both her husband and her son. The tragedy has decimated the family, leaving them without their primary earners and creating a difficult future for the surviving children. A wave of sorrow has gripped the entire village, with neighbors struggling to process the scale of the loss.
