Criminal cases have been registered against 37 Ganesh mandals for operating high-decibel DJ systems, loud musical equipment, and unauthorized plasma lighting setups beyond permissible limits.

Prior to the festivities, the administration had outlined strict guidelines to prevent excessive sound levels in adherence to binding High Court directives. Despite explicit warnings regarding sound restrictions in public thoroughfares, numerous organizers deployed amplified sound systems that disrupted surrounding residential areas and breached legal acoustic thresholds.
Forfeiture of Security Deposits Underway
Beyond the registration of formal police complaints, the authorities are also pursuing financial penalties against the offending committees. The security deposit amounts originally submitted by these specific mandals to secure event permissions are now in the process of being confiscated. Officials maintain that decisive enforcement remains essential to deter recurring violations during major public festivals across the region.
