Housing & Urban Development Corporation Limited (HUDCO) has delivered a strong financial performance for the first quarter of the 2026-27 financial year, triggering positive momentum in its stock price. The public sector undertaking registered a significant annual jump in its net profit alongside the announcement of its inaugural interim dividend for the fiscal year.

Shares of HUDCO finished the trading session 3.27 percent higher at Rs 202.15 per piece on the BSE on Monday, pushing the company's market capitalization to Rs 40,468.41 crore. During the intraday trade, the stock touched a high of Rs 205.05 and dipped to a low of Rs 197.10. Looking at its 52-week trajectory, the equity hit a peak of Rs 246.90 on November 18, 2025, while sliding to a low of Rs 158.95 on March 30, 2026. The stock price has dropped by nearly 11 percent so far in 2026 and by about 35 percent over a two-year horizon.
Dividend Payout and Record Date Details
The company board of directors approved the first interim dividend of 12.5 percent for FY27 during a meeting held on Wednesday. According to its regulatory filing with the BSE, the board recommended the declaration of the 1st interim dividend of Rs 1.25 per equity share, translating to 12.50 percent on a face value of Rs 10 each, subject to TDS deduction. To qualify for this payout, investors must hold the shares prior to the record date. The board has established Friday, July 31, as the official record date for determining shareholder eligibility.
Quarterly Net Profit and Net Interest Income Growth
On the profitability front, HUDCO reported a 35.1 percent annual surge in its consolidated net profit, reaching Rs 851 crore for the June quarter compared to Rs 630 crore during the corresponding period of the previous year. Meanwhile, the net interest income (NII), representing the variance between interest earned and interest disbursed, climbed 21.1 percent to Rs 1,149 crore for the quarter under review, up from Rs 948 crore registered in the year-ago timeframe.
