Efforts to expand the high-speed rail network across various parts of the country are progressing at a rapid pace. Preparations to launch the nation's first bullet train between Mumbai and Ahmedabad are currently in their final stages. Authorities aim to operate high-speed trains on certain sections of this route by the year 2027. In line with this expansion, the central government has also formulated plans to construct a bullet train corridor passing through Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.

Ahead of the Diwali and Chhath festivals, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw shared a significant update regarding this project. He stated that work is progressing swiftly on the plan to run a bullet train connecting Delhi to Patna via Kanpur and Lucknow.
