A major accident was reported from Butoli village within the Laxmangarh police station limits of Alwar district, where a young child fell into an uncovered borehole on Monday evening. The incident triggered an immediate response from local authorities and rescue personnel, who launched a massive operation that ultimately succeeded in pulling the child out safely after several hours of intensive effort.
How the Incident Occurred
According to available details, nine-year-old child Bhanu was running around Monday evening to catch a falling kite. While running in excitement, his foot landed squarely on a stone placed over an open borehole. The stone shifted under his weight, causing the boy to drop straight down into the shaft. Sources indicate that the borehole was roughly 400 feet deep, and the child became stuck at a depth of about 40 feet.
Multi-Agency Rescue Operation
Upon receiving news of the accident, administrative officials rushed to the spot, including Sub-Divisional Magistrate Manisha Resham, Tehsildar Manish Kumar Sharma, DSP Narendra Kumar, and SHO Rajesh Kumar. Acting on district directives, three JCB excavators were deployed to dig parallel ground. Concurrently, specialized units from the State Disaster Response Force and National Disaster Response Force arrived at the site to spearhead the extraction effort while a large crowd of villagers gathered around.
Safe Extraction and Medical Care
After hours of continuous and challenging rescue work, the child was successfully brought out of the borehole unharmed. The successful rescue brought immense relief and joy to the local residents who had gathered at the site. Immediately following his extraction, the boy was placed in an ambulance and rushed to a hospital for medical observation and necessary care.
