In a major relief for commuters during the festive season, the railway administration has announced the operation of a dedicated special service to handle the surge in passenger traffic. With Raksha Bandhan approaching, North Western Railway is rolling out a special AC train connecting Jodhpur and Chennai Beach to ensure comfortable travel for people visiting their families and avoiding the usual festive rush on regular routes.
Train Schedule and Timings
This special service is scheduled to depart from Jodhpur on Saturday, August 29, traversing through multiple states before reaching its destination. For the return journey, the train will make its trip from Chennai on September 1. Senior DCM Hitesh Yadav of the Jodhpur division under North Western Railway has officially detailed the timings and operational route for public convenience.
Train number 04815, designated as the Jodhpur-Chennai Beach Rakhi Special, will pull out of Jodhpur at 9:20 PM on Saturday, August 29, and is scheduled to arrive at Chennai Beach at 8:00 PM on Monday. Conversely, the return service under train number 04816, known as the Chennai Central-Jodhpur Rakhi Special, will leave Chennai Central at 5:15 PM on Tuesday, September 1, and make its way back to Jodhpur by 8:30 PM on Thursday.

Designed to cater to long-distance travelers seeking comfort, this fully air-conditioned train features a total composition of 19 coaches. The inclusion of modern amenities across these carriages aims to provide a pleasant journey for passengers, keeping them insulated from the heavy crowds typically seen during peak holiday periods.

Throughout its extensive journey in both directions, this special train will halt at numerous key stations across Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh. The primary stoppages include Merta Road, Degana, Makrana, Kuchaman City, Phulera, Jaipur, Durgapura, Sawai Madhopur, Sogaria, Baran, Chhabra Gugor, Ruthiyai, Guna, Bina, Bhopal, Itwari, Nagpur, and Balharshah. Further down the route, it will serve passengers at Sirpur Kagaznagar, Mancherial, Warangal, Khammam, Vijayawada, Bapatla, Chirala, Ongole, Nellore, Gudur, and Naidupet.
