In an audacious act that highlights security lapses, unidentified miscreants targeted two jewellery shops in a single night in Dubbi village, located under the jurisdiction of the Sikandra police station in Dausa district. The thieves made off with cash and gold and silver ornaments with an estimated value of around Rs 40 lakh. The shocking incident has triggered widespread anger and resentment among local traders and residents. The theft came to light on Monday morning when the affected jewellers arrived to open their shops for the day and found the shutter locks broken.
Smashed Safes And Empty Showcases
Panic gripped the owners upon seeing the broken locks, and stepping inside left them completely devastated. The interiors revealed broken safes and completely empty showcases, stripped of all the valuable gold and silver jewelry that had been neatly displayed. According to the affected shopkeepers, the thieves looted their hard-earned life savings in a single sweep, putting the total loss at approximately Rs 40 lakh.
Outraged Villagers And Protesting Traders
News of the massive double heist spread rapidly through the area, drawing hundreds of local villagers and traders to the scene. The gathered crowd raised serious questions regarding police patrolling and overall security arrangements, staging a strong protest. Locals asserted that such a major crime occurring in the main market points directly towards laxity on the part of local law enforcement.
Senior Police Officers Inspect The Crime Scene
Upon receiving immediate information about the burglary, Sikandra Station House Officer Surender Singh rushed to the spot with a police team to take stock of the situation. Recognizing the sensitivity of the matter, senior police officials took prompt action. Additional Superintendent of Police Shankar Lal Meena and Mandapur Circle Officer Dharmraj Chaudhary visited the site to conduct a thorough inspection and gathered detailed lists of the stolen goods from the victims.

Initial police investigations suggest that although both shops are situated within the village area, the surroundings turn completely desolate during the night. The perpetrators capitalized on this isolation, breaking the shutter locks without any fear.
