Masked Gang Raids Bhanwargarh, Steals Garlic Worth Lakhs and Attempts Residential Break-In

A gang of five masked thieves stole garlic worth lakhs of rupees and attempted to burgle a home in Baran's Bhanwargarh before fleeing when a resident woke up.

A sudden wave of nocturnal thefts has triggered widespread fear among residents across the Bhanwargarh area in Baran district. Striking under the cover of darkness, an organised gang of prowlers wreaked havoc across the village by targeting both agricultural produce and residential property. The perpetrators made off with harvested garlic crops valued in the lakhs of rupees, striking a heavy blow against local cultivators. During the very same overnight spree, the masked group also attempted a break-in at a local residence, though the alert occupant managed to foil their plans just in time.

Cash Crop Heist Leaves Farmers Facing Severe Financial Ruin

The theft of large quantities of garlic in Bhanwargarh village has hit the agricultural community hard, given that garlic represents a primary revenue stream for local farming families. Stripping away the harvest right from storage or farm holdings has caused direct monetary distress to the growers who depend on these yields for their livelihood. Learning that multiple incidents took place during a single night has severely amplified anxieties regarding nighttime safety and surveillance across the entire rural settlement.

Her timely awakening prevented a major burglary and potential harm to the household.

Investigating officers began examining CCTV footage gathered from adjoining buildings and pathways in order to trace the gang's entry and exit routes, determine physical descriptions, and establish actionable leads to track them down.

Authorities Urge Vigilance and Call for Sturdier Security Measures

In response to the brazen overnight break-ins, police officials have issued an advisory urging villagers to remain vigilant. Residents have been asked to secure their dwellings, shops, and storage facilities with robust locks every night, while keeping a watchful eye on any unfamiliar faces or suspicious movements in their vicinity. Such thefts during harvest season completely crush farmers. Thank goodness Mamta woke up in time or things could have been much worse.

The five thieves carrying away all that garlic were caught on camera, yet nobody in the village noticed a thing until the locks were broken. A haul that big must have needed a tractor, so how did nobody spot them?

You're right, Rohan. Last year when onions were stolen at our place, nobody heard the tractor either. The police just sat on their hands.
