A massive fire broke out at a wooden warehouse in the Mayur Vihar Phase 3 area of Delhi on Sunday, 13 September 2026. The incident occurred in close proximity to Dharamshila Hospital, causing widespread panic in the locality. Upon receiving information about the blaze, the fire department immediately dispatched emergency teams to the spot to control the situation.
Firefighting Operations in Progress
To combat the raging flames, as many as 14 fire tenders were rushed to the scene. Firefighters have been working continuously to bring the blaze under control. Thanks to the swift response, there have been no reports of any casualties or injuries resulting from the incident so far. The priority remains to fully extinguish the fire and prevent it from spreading further.
Precautionary Measures and Traffic Restrictions
As a safety precaution, the Delhi Police quickly initiated evacuation procedures in the surrounding residential and commercial blocks. To ensure public safety and facilitate unobstructed access for emergency vehicles, the police have also blocked the movement of private vehicles heading toward the affected site. Residents have been advised to avoid the area until the situation is fully resolved.
