Passengers travelling between Uttar Pradesh and Bihar have reason to cheer. Indian Railways has decided to extend the popular Pune-Danapur special train service, which runs daily, until September 30. The decision, taken by the North Central Railway, will benefit not just travellers from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar but also those commuting from Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. The Pune-Danapur-Pune special train is a daily service that has seen strong passenger demand, and it is this popularity, along with the growing importance of the route, that prompted the railways to extend its run, so that commuters do not face inconvenience even after the summer and festive travel season.
Full Schedule Of The Pune-Danapur Special Train
Train number 01449, the Pune-Danapur Special, will now run daily until September 28. This train departs Pune every day at 15.40 hours and arrives in Danapur at 02.45 hours past midnight the following day. On the return leg, train number 01450, the Danapur-Pune Special, will now run daily until September 30. This train leaves Danapur every day at 05.00 hours and reaches Pune at 18.15 hours the next evening. In other words, the two directions of this service have different end dates, with the Danapur to Pune leg continuing for two extra days, right up to September 30, while the Pune to Danapur leg will stop running after September 28.
Stops Along The Route And Coach Composition
During its journey in both directions, the Pune-Danapur special train halts at several important stations, including Daund Chord Line, Ahilyanagar, Kopargaon, Manmad Junction, Bhusaval Junction, Itarsi, Jabalpur, Katni, Satna, Manikpur, Dabhaura, Prayagraj Chheoki, Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction, Buxar and Ara. The train has a total of 18 coaches across different classes, comprising 1 Second AC coach, 5 Third AC coaches, 6 Sleeper Class coaches and 4 General Class coaches, giving passengers with different budgets and needs a range of travel options.
12 Exam Special Trains For The Bihar Police Recruitment Exam
Separately, the East Central Railway has announced that it will run a total of 12 exam special trains for candidates appearing in the Bihar Police recruitment exam. According to details shared by the East Central Railway, 2 exam special trains will run on July 11, while 10 special trains will be operated on July 12. These trains will depart from stations including Patna, Buxar, Rajgir, Bakhtiyarpur, Kiul, Nawada, Gaya and Jhajha, travelling on different routes to different destinations, so that candidates can reach their exam centres on time without last minute travel stress.
