Manoj Sinha reviewed the flood situation in Rajouri and Poonch and directed officials to ensure help reaches affected people without delay. He asked the administration to speed up rescue work and get relief material to those in need as quickly as possible.
Control Room Set Up in Katra
A control room has been established in Katra to manage disaster response through the monsoon season. It will monitor incidents of heavy rain, flooding and landslides and help coordinate a quick relief response whenever needed.

The Amarnath Yatra has been temporarily suspended on both the Pahalgam and Baltal routes because of a weather alert. The Vaishno Devi Yatra also remains suspended due to adverse weather, leaving pilgrims who had arrived for the pilgrimage disappointed.
Red Alert for Heavy Rain in Himachal Pradesh
The India Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for extremely heavy rain in five districts of Himachal Pradesh on July 20 and 21. It has warned that the spell could trigger flash floods and landslides, and local authorities have been asked to stay on alert.
