The government in Uttar Pradesh has initiated a large-scale teacher recruitment drive, prompting the Uttar Pradesh Education Services Selection Commission to officially release a detailed notification. Under this recruitment framework, a special teacher eligibility test will be conducted for educators working at both primary and upper primary levels. The entire administrative process has been set in motion following directives issued by the state government, with Commission Chairman Dr. Prashant Kumar officially clearing the notification.
Supreme Court Rulings and Government Directives
According to the official notification released by the commission, the move comes in response to a large number of teachers getting affected by the orders passed by the Supreme Court in Civil Appeal No. 1385/2025 and Review Petition Diary No. 53434/2025 on May 29. Taking cognizance of these developments, the government issued specific directives on September 2. Complying with these official instructions, notification number 03/2026 for the special teacher eligibility test has now been published to streamline the recruitment landscape.
OTR System and Application Guidelines
To ensure a smooth application experience for all aspiring candidates wishing to participate in the special teacher eligibility test, a one-time registration system has been implemented. Candidates are strictly advised to complete this registration requirement before proceeding with their final applications. The comprehensive instruction manual and full notification are currently hosted on the official Uttar Pradesh Education Services Selection Commission website for public viewing. Eligible candidates should read the instructions thoroughly before the application window opens on September 5.
Important Dates and Exam Schedule
The commission has outlined a strict timeline for the entire examination process. The official notification was issued on September 3, while the online registration portal opens on September 5. Candidates must complete their online application fee payments by October 4. For any necessary corrections in submitted forms, the deadline for online modifications has been set to October 8. Finally, the written examination itself is scheduled to be conducted across the state on November 3.
