In a major step aimed at upgrading infrastructure and easing movement for countless devotees and local residents traveling to the Ram Temple, authorities have cleared a massive revamp project in Ayodhya. Under the state smart city scheme, roughly twelve key roads and connecting lanes branching out from Rampath are scheduled for a complete makeover. The construction and beautification works on these thoroughfares will incur an expenditure of approximately forty crore rupees. Following the official approval of the project, the municipal corporation has already commenced the formal tender process.
Inclusion of Twelve Key Road Projects
Municipal Commissioner Jaiendra Kumar explained that once the main Rampath was constructed and beautified, several surrounding lanes and feeder roads remained in a relatively poor state. These specific routes were meticulously surveyed and earmarked for development under the state smart city initiative. A total of twelve roads have been integrated into this specific undertaking. According to municipal officials, these pathways will be built incorporating modern amenities. Alongside laying fresh pavement, the project entails robust stormwater drainage systems, street lighting along the edges, and durable cement concrete roads. These enhancements are expected to mitigate waterlogging issues during heavy monsoons and grant smooth transit to local commuters.
Transforming Areas Connected to Rampath
With the project receiving formal clearance, tenders have been officially floated to execute the construction work promptly. Officials anticipate a dramatic transformation of the neighborhoods adjacent to Rampath once the development concludes. Both the local populace and the steady stream of pilgrims visiting Ayodhya will benefit immensely from improved connectivity and infrastructure. Rampath stands as one of the most prominent corridors in the city, holding immense significance for visitors heading toward the sacred shrine. The recent surge in footfall and vehicular traffic following the initial development of Rampath made the upgradation of its subsidiary lanes an urgent necessity.
The current initiative places special emphasis on upgrading drainage networks and illumination alongside the roadways. This dual focus is designed to spare local inhabitants from seasonal waterlogging headaches while ensuring that nighttime commuting remains hassle-free and secure. The municipal administration asserts that transforming these arteries will significantly elevate the standard of civic amenities around Rampath. This progress is expected to accelerate the broader urban development of Ayodhya while ensuring seamless mobility for citizens and visitors alike.
