Kejriwal further emphasized that Ratan Tata viewed business through the lens of public service rather than mere commerce. He remarked that Tata's dedicated initiatives and forward-looking ideas to propel the nation forward will continuously guide upcoming generations.
About Ratan Naval Tata
Ratan Naval Tata was an iconic corporate leader and philanthropist who steered the Tata Group and Tata Sons, India's largest conglomerate, as chairman from 1991 to 2012. He subsequently returned to helm the conglomerate as interim executive chairman from October 2016 through February 2017.
Under his dynamic stewardship, the conglomerate grew into a global powerhouse, executing landmark international acquisitions across several continents. In recognition of his distinguished service to trade, industry, and social welfare, the Government of India conferred upon him the Padma Bhushan in 2000 and the nation's second-highest civilian honor, the Padma Vibhushan, in 2008. Tata passed away in October 2024 following age-related health complications, prompting solemn state funeral honors. Following his demise, the Maharashtra government also moved a proposal recommending his name for the Bharat Ratna.
