Shashi Tharoor's Saturday only wrapped up past 11 pm, after he visited the homes of two party colleagues in the rural parts of his constituency to pay condolences, he said in a post on X (@ShashiTharoor). Both colleagues had died suddenly earlier in the week.
A late-night round of rural visits
According to Tharoor, the visits took him to the rural stretches of his constituency, where he called on the homes of the two colleagues who had passed away. He noted that the entire round only concluded after 11 pm.
Sharing the families' grief
Tharoor wrote that the grief of both families was hard to bear. He said all he could offer in such moments was a hug, a prayer and a consoling word.
