NCP (SP) MP and working president Supriya Sule has raised pointed questions regarding the lack of formal police complaints in the tragic incident, drawing sharp reactions from within the political sphere and leading to a direct war of words with Sunetra Pawar.
Supriya Sule Questions Lack of FIR
Addressing the media while discussing a separate case involving MNS leader Amit Thackeray, Supriya Sule drew a sharp comparison regarding administrative action. She stated that authorities quickly registered an FIR simply for the removal of a picture from a wall, yet no such FIR has been filed following a major plane crash that claimed the life of a prominent leader. She emphasized that her family lost a key member in the tragedy.
Directly criticizing her political colleagues, Sule questioned why none of the numerous party legislators or ministers in the ruling coalition demanded a proper investigation or an FIR regarding her brother's death. She remarked that their family lost a loved one while others continue to enjoy power.
Sunetra Pawar Responds in Pune
Reacting to the remarks in Pune, Sunetra Pawar stated that the loss of Ajit Dada brings profound grief to his mother, his children, and the entire family. She urged everyone to give the investigating agency adequate time and to repose full trust in the process, adding that engaging in repeated politics over the tragic event is entirely inappropriate.
