Defence Minister Rajnath Singh took to the social media platform X to extend his warm wishes to the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) on the occasion of its 78th foundation day. Singh praised the organization for its long-standing commitment to inspiring students toward nation-building, effective leadership, and a sense of social duty. He remarked that for several decades, the organization has served as a powerful voice for student interests while instilling a deep spirit of prioritizing the nation above all else.
The Role of Student Power in Nation Building
Celebrated on July 9, the foundation day of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad was marked by numerous events across the country. As the organization commemorates its 78th anniversary, many chapters observed the day as National Students Day. The journey from student power to national power was highlighted through various rallies and celebratory events. Notably, a grand festival of lamps (deepotsav) was held at the Vishwanath temple premises of the Banaras Hindu University (BHU), where 3,100 lamps were lit by participating youth.

In Mau, the organization launched a health awareness campaign known as the 'Ritumati Abhiyan' for girl students in government schools. In other locations like Mahoba, events included lantern lightings and talent search competitions.
