Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced a major welfare decision for government ration dealers across the state. In a social media update shared on X, the Chief Minister confirmed that the dividend margin for more than 78,000 fair price shop owners will be increased from Rs 90 to Rs 125 per quintal. The decision aims to strengthen public distribution operations and ensure better financial support for local dealers.
Commission Hike and Supply Chain Streamlining
Originating from the administrative capital of Lucknow, the government decision brings a Rs 35 per quintal increase in revenue for ration vendors. Highlighting the administration's policy direction, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stated that the state is witnessing a synthesis of regional development and public service. Alongside the margin adjustment, the administration is pushing forward with single-stage door-step delivery of essential food grains. Under this logistics model, supplies move directly from central warehouses to distribution points, reducing intermediate leakages and accelerating distribution to beneficiaries.
