Donald Trump posted a sharp rebuttal on Truth Social targeting the New York Times, after the newspaper published a headline that read: "What Changed After Almost 4 Months of War? Analysts Say Not Much." Trump dismissed the paper as "corrupt and failing" and responded with a point-by-point argument insisting that an enormous amount has in fact changed.
The Opposing Side's Military and Leadership Have Been Eliminated
Trump argued that the opposing force has suffered devastating losses across the board. He said their military is done, their Navy is gone, and their Air Force has been wiped out. He also stated that their launching pads, missiles, drones, and the manufacturing facilities that produce all of these are almost entirely gone. Their top two sets of leaders, he added, have also been eliminated.
250 Percent Inflation and a Broken Economy
On the economic front, Trump claimed the opposing side is now dealing with 250% inflation, a broken economy, and soldiers who are not being paid. He also highlighted a key strategic development: the Strait of Hormuz is open and oil is gushing through.
Record Stock Market and Jobs at Home
Against that backdrop, Trump pointed to strong conditions inside the United States, saying the U.S. stock market and jobs are both at record highs. He closed by addressing the Times directly:
That's what's CHANGED, you corrupt and unethical cowards, and MORE!!!
