The Chhattisgarh government has carried out a major administrative overhaul, transferring 31 IPS officers and assigning new roles to several senior officials.

In a major administrative restructuring within the police department, the Chhattisgarh government has ordered the transfer of 31 IPS officers. According to the official notification issued by the state administration, these officers have been posted to their new assignments on a temporary basis until further orders, marking a significant shift in senior-level responsibilities.

Changes Involving Senior Leadership

The sweeping changes have brought notable shifts at the top. Pawan Dev, an IPS officer of the 1992 batch, has been moved out from his previous role as chairman and managing director of the Chhattisgarh Police Housing Corporation in Raipur. He has now been assigned to civil defense and home guards. Meanwhile, 1994-batch IPS officer SRP Kalluri has been appointed as the new managing director of the Chhattisgarh Police Housing Corporation.

Dipanshu Kabra, a 1997-batch IPS officer, has been assigned additional responsibilities as the additional director general of police for railways and traffic. Vivekanand has been given the additional charge of finance, planning, and management. Amit Kumar takes on the role of additional director general for the Anti-Narcotics Task Force, while Dr. Anand Chhabra has been handed charge of technical services, telecommunications, and Dial-112.

Law and Order Adjustments

The reshuffle also touches upon internal security and specialized units. Omprakash Pal has been appointed as the inspector general of police for law and order at the police headquarters. Ankit Kumar Garg receives the additional charge of director of the state forensic science laboratory. Furthermore, 2011-batch IPS officer Ajatshatru Bahadur Singh has been moved from his position as DIG of intelligence and special branch at the police headquarters in New Raipur, taking over as the DIG and director for home guards, SDRF, and fire services.
