Reacting strongly to remarks made by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge regarding Prime Minister Narendra Modi, West Bengal minister Dilip Ghosh launched a scathing attack on the opposition party. He accused the Congress of facing continuous electoral defeats, which has driven its leaders into deep frustration, leading them to launch personal attacks on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other senior Bharatiya Janata Party leaders.
Global Recognition Of Leadership
Speaking to journalists, Dilip Ghosh emphasized that the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is respected not only within the country but also internationally. He noted that the Bharatiya Janata Party continues to win elections consistently and that the welfare and development schemes of the government are directly benefiting the common public. According to him, the Congress has already lost the political battle, which is why its leaders are resorting to personal remarks instead of policy debates.
Questions Over Mallikarjun Kharge's Political Future
Addressing Mallikarjun Kharge's comments, Ghosh pointed out that the Congress chief has a history of making such statements. He remarked that Kharge has reached an age where he should seriously consider retiring from active politics. Ghosh attributed these comments to the frustration stemming from advancing age and adverse political circumstances, while also questioning the political future of the Congress as its standing continues to weaken steadily.
Public Response Through Elections
Ghosh asserted that the public is watching everything and delivers a decisive response to such leaders through their voting rights during elections. Because the Congress loses elections repeatedly, its frustrated leaders begin making erratic statements. He added that making personal remarks targeting the family of the prime minister is completely inappropriate.
Reference To Sonia Gandhi And Gujarat
Recalling past statements made by former Congress president Sonia Gandhi, Ghosh warned that the party always bears the political cost of its leaders' reckless statements. Citing the example of Gujarat, he pointed out that the Congress has long failed to form a government there, and the public of Gujarat has consistently punished such rhetoric through election outcomes. He cautioned that the more Congress leaders attack Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the greater the consequences the party will face, rather than causing any harm to the prime minister.
Shifting his focus to former West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee, Ghosh leveled serious corruption allegations against her administration. He questioned where the alleged looted government and non-government funds had gone. He stressed that elections cannot be won solely on the basis of money power, noting that if that were the case, the Bharatiya Janata Party would have won all elections long ago. He concluded that in a democracy, the mandate of the people must be respected and election results gracefully accepted.
