Following the widespread popularity of smartwatches and fitness bands, Zomato co-founder Deepinder Goyal is introducing a completely novel wearable device designed to track shifts in blood flow within the brain. Named Temple, this device is scheduled to open for pre-orders starting November 1, 2026. While a general public release will follow, a select group of users is being granted early access, which has revealed potential pricing details for the gadget ahead of its official rollout.
Leaked Pricing and Early Access Invites
A user named Tharun M shared a screenshot on X of an early-access email regarding Temple. According to the details provided, the initial batch of the device could carry a price tag of ₹85,000. The shared information also suggests that a lifetime subscription may be bundled into this upfront cost. However, because these figures come from targeted emails sent to select individuals rather than a formal company announcement, the ₹85,000 amount should be treated strictly as an estimate for now.
Recipients of the early-access invite are instructed to download the Temple app and sign in using the exact email address where they received the invitation. Availability in the first batch will be severely restricted, and each unit will be handcrafted only after an order is placed.
Color Variations and Pre-Order Timeline
Pre-orders for the inaugural batch of Temple are slated to kick off on November 1, 2026. Users who secured early-access invites will utilize the application to place their orders. Because the manufacturer intends to distribute the product in staggered batches, immediate availability cannot be guaranteed for all interested buyers right away.
The wearable is expected to launch in a total of six distinct color options. These include True Gold, Rose Gold, Black Mirror, Real Jade, Deep Blue, and Purple Funk. Based on early documentation, Real Jade, Deep Blue, and Purple Funk may be offered as limited-edition colorways.
What Is Temple and How Does It Function?
Temple functions as an advanced brain-monitoring wearable built specifically to track fluctuations in blood flow inside the head. While conventional smartwatches monitor metrics like heart rate, sleep patterns, and daily physical activity, Temple leverages optical sensors to capture shifts in cerebral blood flow. The company refers to this proprietary technology as BrainFlow.
The device is worn on the side of the head, positioned between the forehead and the ear. To secure it firmly against the skin, it utilizes single-use adhesive strips known as Grips.
Entropy Score and Usage Guidelines
While using Temple, individuals receive an Entropy Score ranging from 1 to 250. According to the developers, this score is formulated to highlight indicators related to physical stress on the body. Variables such as sleep quality, physical exercise, psychological stress, and caffeine intake can directly influence this metric.
Despite its advanced capabilities, Temple is positioned strictly as a wellness and research tool. It is not intended to serve as a substitute for professional medical diagnosis or the identification of clinical conditions.
