Amid escalating online debates, BJP MP and prominent actress Kangana Ranaut has launched a sharp criticism against demonstrators in a recent Instagram story update. Ranaut argued that individuals who choose to express their opinions in public spaces must also remain prepared to face opposing reactions from the public. She emphasized that while everyone holds the right to voice their perspective, that right functions equally for all citizens.
Accountability for Conduct and Public Property Damage
Addressing videos currently circulating across social media platforms that depict protesters encountering widespread anger from ordinary citizens, Kangana Ranaut asserted that the protesters' own language and demeanor are solely responsible for the backlash. She noted that when someone speaks out openly in public, they cannot complain about receiving a firm response from society.
Highlighting incidents involving damage to state infrastructure, Ranaut stated that when public property is vandalized, citizens naturally react with strong indignation. She added that if anyone harbors grievances against the country or the elected administration and resorts to abusive language publicly, they must be willing to hear from the voters who democratically elected that government in the first place.
Cause, Effect, and Equal Reaction
Concluding her social media message, Kangana Ranaut remarked that there is no valid reason for protesters to complain about the consequences of their actions. Citing the classic principle of physics, she wrote that every action generates an equal and opposite reaction. She further added that those who failed to grasp the relationship between cause and effect previously will certainly understand it now.
Broader Context of the Student Movement
This latest controversy stems from an ongoing student movement and several accompanying video clips shared widely online. Over recent days, Ranaut has maintained a consistent stance on the matter, repeatedly challenging the methods and verbal tone adopted by the agitators. In earlier posts regarding the issue, she had strongly condemned their conduct, going so far as to label the protesting youth as Generation Gutter.
