Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has cancelled his proposed official visit to the United States after the Ministry of External Affairs declined political clearance for the tour. Currently in London, the Chief Minister will no longer travel to Boston and will instead return to Hyderabad on August 23.
Denial of Political Clearance by MEA
The Telangana Chief Minister's Office (CMO) released an official statement on Friday confirming the cancellation. According to the release, the Ministry of External Affairs informed the state government that permission for the official 'Telangana-Rising' delegation, led by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, was not granted from a political standpoint. Consequently, the planned leg of the trip to Boston had to be dropped.
Revised Return Schedule
The Chief Minister had embarked on a 10-day official tour covering the United Kingdom and the United States, reaching London as the first leg of his itinerary. Under the initial itinerary, the delegation was scheduled to complete its engagements in the US and return to Hyderabad on August 30. Following the clearance decision by the central government, the trip has been cut short, and Revanth Reddy will now fly back to Hyderabad from London on August 23.
