Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma launched a sharp attack on former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot in Jaipur, challenging him over statements made during a public gathering in Jodhpur. The Chief Minister stated that his remarks had unsettled the opposition leader and challenged anyone to prove even a single point he raised as false, adding that more facts and details are yet to emerge in public view.
Raising Questions on Past Corruption and Governance
Sharma questioned the track record of the previous administration led by the Congress party, highlighting alleged irregularities in the Rajasthan Public Service Commission and corruption linked to the Jal Jeevan Mission. He asserted that the exact nature of what transpired within the recruitment commission and how corruption was carried out in the water mission will all be brought out into the open for the public to see.
Pointing Out Officials, Ministers, and Dynastic Politics
The Chief Minister alleged that during the tenure of the previous administration, a minister ended up behind bars and pointed out that even the personal security officer of Gehlot was apprehended. He referred back to a joint press conference involving Gehlot's OSD and the DGP Crime. Criticizing dynastic politics, he remarked that such outcomes are typical of political systems heavily centered around family rule.
Accusations Against Congress and Praise for Central Leadership
Accusing the Congress party of undermining democratic structures, Sharma stated that the party has historically worked to weaken democratic systems and dismantle elected governments on multiple occasions. Shifting focus to national policy, he expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for extending the service tenure of Agniveers, praising the central administration's decision while concluding by extending festive Diwali greetings to the people of the state.
