A complex blind murder case in the Ahor police station area of Jalore district, Rajasthan, has been solved by authorities within a swift 48-hour window. The investigation revealed a chilling plot where a wife, frustrated by her husband's presence in her extra-marital relationship, conspired with her lover to eliminate him. The perpetrators lured the victim under the pretext of securing him employment, fed him alcohol until he was incapacitated, and then murdered him. To cover their tracks, they discarded the body in the Sarhad Madla region before fleeing the scene.
Investigation and Arrests
Law enforcement officials utilized a combination of technical evidence, CCTV footage, and mobile call detail records to unravel the mystery. The case gained national attention after an unidentified body was discovered in the Sarhad Madla area of Ahor on June 24. Following identification, the victim was recognized as Rajendra Kumar Meena, a resident of Ranigaon in the Pali district. A murder case was officially registered on June 25 based on a report filed by the victim's mother, Sarki Devi.
Evidence Leads to Suspects
Recognizing the severity of the crime, police involved the FSL MOB team and the cyber cell in the probe. Scrutiny of evidence gathered from the crime scene, along with mobile call records and surveillance footage from the vicinity, led investigators to the primary suspect, Ramesh Kumar Meena, and his accomplice, Abhishek Meena. Upon interrogation, both individuals confessed to their roles in planning and executing the murder. Consequently, police took both suspects into custody.
The Motivation Behind the Plot
The investigation uncovered that the victim, Rajendra Kumar, had been married to Mamta for approximately 15 years. Their relationship had deteriorated over the past 8 to 10 months, leading Mamta to reside at her parental home. During this separation, her intimacy with Ramesh Meena increased. The duo intended to stay together, but they viewed Rajendra as an insurmountable obstacle to their relationship. This realization prompted them to hatch the plan to remove him permanently.
Lured by Wages, Met by Death
As part of the plan, Ramesh Meena recruited his relative, Abhishek Meena, to assist in the operation. The duo traveled by motorcycle to Ranigaon in the Pali district, where they convinced Rajendra to accompany them by promising him lucrative employment. During the journey, they forced him to consume large quantities of alcohol. Once the victim was heavily intoxicated, the suspects murdered him. They dumped his body in the Sarhad Madla area of Ahor in an attempt to hide his identity. Police are now preparing to present the arrested individuals in court to obtain a remand, during which they intend to recover the vehicle used in the crime and determine if any other individuals were involved in the conspiracy.
