Medical examinations and treatment are currently underway for Naresh Meena at the Sawai Man Singh Hospital in Jaipur. He was referred to the capital city from Tonk following complaints of chest pain, high blood pressure, restlessness, and anxiety. At present, he is admitted under the close observation of doctors in the emergency ward, where various health tests are being conducted.
Events at Saadat Hospital in Tonk
Naresh Meena was initially brought to the Saadat Hospital in Tonk by prison authorities after his health deteriorated. Upon arrival, doctors immediately performed an ECG, X-ray, and other necessary medical tests. Following the preliminary examinations, he was shifted to the ICU under medical supervision. However, due to the unavailability of a cardiologist at the Tonk facility, doctors decided not to take any risks and advised shifting him to a major hospital equipped with specialist care for advanced treatment.
The medical team kept him under observation while hospital administration and police prepared for his transfer to Jaipur. In view of security concerns, a heavy police deployment was made across the Saadat Hospital premises. Station House Officer Bhanwar Lal Vaishnav along with other police personnel maintained a strict presence inside the hospital and outside the ICU. Subsequently, Naresh Meena was dispatched to Jaipur in an ambulance amidst tight security arrangements.
Jail Visit and Background of Illness
This development regarding Naresh Meena's health comes shortly after former minister Rajendra Gudha visited him inside the Tonk jail a few days ago. Reports indicate that it was during this very meeting that Naresh Meena had first complained about experiencing chest pain, which Rajendra Gudha subsequently highlighted. With his health worsening today, he was moved from the jail to Saadat Hospital before being sent to Jaipur.
The Samravta Slap Incident and Judicial Custody
It is noteworthy that Naresh Meena has been lodged in judicial custody ever since the high-profile Samravta slap incident. Although he was previously granted bail by a court in connection with the case, the Tonk SC-ST Court later cancelled that bail order. Following the court directives, Naresh Meena surrendered once again and has been serving his time in Tonk jail since then. This sudden deterioration of his health has once again sparked political activity and discussion.
