Law enforcement authorities in Rajasthan's Pratapgarh district have initiated a major crackdown against a prominent history-sheeter and hardcore criminal linked to drug trafficking and various illegal activities. Police have frozen movable and immovable properties belonging to Ajab Khan, estimated to be worth around Rs 2.82 crore. The action, executed within the Arnod police station jurisdiction, went beyond official records to target properties that were legally registered in other individuals' names but were actually possessed and utilized by Ajab Khan.
Major Crackdown in Arnod Jurisdiction
The operation was carried out by a dedicated police team led by Arnod station house officer Shivlal मीणा. The properties brought under the freeze order include two farmhouses, a residential house, two four-wheelers, four motorcycles, and a tractor. According to police estimates, the total market value of all these seized movable and immovable assets is approximately Rs 2.82 crore. Police systematically gathered documentation regarding actual possession before executing the asset freeze.
Thirteen Criminal Cases Registered Against Ajab Khan
Pratapgarh SP Vishal Jangid stated that Ajab Khan is a designated history-sheeter and hardcore criminal under the Arnod police station. A total of 13 criminal cases are currently registered against him. Among these, five specific cases are directly related to the illegal trafficking of narcotic substances. Police had been investigating his criminal syndicate and the assets amassed through illegal means for a considerable period. A notable highlight of this operation was targeting properties formally registered in third-party names after investigations confirmed that Ajab Khan maintained actual physical control and use of those assets.
Focus on Benami Properties and Financial Networks
This law enforcement action is being viewed as a significant milestone against benami and concealed asset holdings in the region. Police authorities have emphasized that the identification and seizure of properties acquired through crime and drug smuggling will continue unabated. The movable and immovable assets of other hardcore criminals are also under continuous scrutiny. According to officials, the primary objective of such aggressive actions is to dismantle the economic backbone of criminal networks and prevent the recirculation of tainted money. Similar investigations will target other criminals in the coming days.
