As counting progresses for the remaining wards, the final party distribution in Jaipur will determine who controls the capital's municipal board.
Major Setback in BJP State Chief's Home Turf
One of the most discussed results comes from Pali, the home region of BJP State President Madan Rathore. In Pali Municipal Corporation, Congress gained a leading edge over the BJP. Current figures show Congress winning 29 wards, compared to 21 wards for the BJP. Independents claimed victory in 15 wards, creating a scenario where their support is necessary for board formation.
However, the BJP performed better in the surrounding municipal bodies of Pali district. In Sojat City, the BJP won 23 wards, Congress took 8, and independents won 2. In Sojat Road, the BJP secured 14 wards, Congress won 7, and independents got 4. In Marwar Junction, both major parties tied at 11 wards each, leaving 3 independent candidates as the ultimate deciding factor.

In Bikaner, the parliamentary constituency of Union Minister Arjun Meghwal, Congress surpassed the BJP. Out of 36 declared wards in Bikaner Municipal Corporation, Congress secured 17 seats, while the BJP won 13. The RLP won 1 seat, and 5 wards went to independent candidates.
