Weather conditions across Rajasthan are on the verge of a shift as meteorological forecasts point toward approaching atmospheric changes. While October 23 is largely expected to remain dry across most districts, a fresh Western Disturbance is projected to impact the region starting October 24. This system is anticipated to bring cloud cover, isolated spells of light rain, and gusty winds to specific pockets of the state, contrasting the current mix of daytime heat and pleasant night temperatures.
Weather Outlook for October 23
According to the Meteorological Center in Jaipur, the vast majority of districts in both eastern and western Rajasthan will experience dry weather on October 23. Major cities including Jaipur, Ajmer, Bharatpur, Kota, and Udaipur are unlikely to receive any precipitation. Similarly, western regions such as Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Barmer, Bikaner, Churu, Sriganganagar, and Hanumangarh will see clear skies for the most part. However, some localized cloud cover cannot be ruled out over parts of northwestern Rajasthan and the Shekhawati region. Isolated places like Jaisalmer, Phalodi, and surrounding areas might witness minor thunder activity or light rain, though widespread rainfall is not on the horizon.
A fresh Western Disturbance is expected to influence parts of the Bikaner division on October 23 and 24, bringing light rainfall accompanied by winds reaching 30 to 40 Kmph in isolated spots, as highlighted in official updates from IMDJaipur.
Impact of the Western Disturbance From October 24
A new Western Disturbance affecting northwestern India will start showing its effects in Rajasthan from October 24. Under its influence, parts of the Bikaner division are very likely to experience light rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning. Wind speeds during this period are projected to touch 30 to 40 kilometers per hour in various locations. Special attention is being kept on northwestern districts such as Sriganganagar, Hanumangarh, and Churu, where weather shifts will be more pronounced. Despite these changes, the impact will not be uniform across the entire state, as divisions like Jaipur, Bharatpur, Kota, and Udaipur do not show clear signs of widespread rainfall.
Contrast Between Daytime Heat and Night Chill
The final days of October are showcasing a distinct duality in temperatures across Rajasthan. Western areas continue to experience substantial daytime heat due to strong sunshine, with maximum temperatures hovering around 38 to 39 degrees Celsius in several cities. On the other hand, minimum temperatures have started dropping in locations like Sikar and parts of eastern and southeastern Rajasthan, introducing a mild chill during the early morning and late night hours. While cloud cover and rain associated with the Western Disturbance may cause minor localized fluctuations, a uniform drop in temperatures across the entire state is not guaranteed just yet.
Return to Dry Conditions From October 25
Following the brief spell of weather activity on October 24, conditions are expected to stabilize quickly. The IMD indicates that weather across most parts of Rajasthan will turn dry once again starting October 25. Subsequent days including October 26, 27, and 28 are projected to feature predominantly clear skies across both eastern and western zones. The likelihood of extensive or prolonged rainfall during the remainder of October remains quite low as seasonal patterns transition.
