The election results for the post of Deputy Mayor in the Jaipur Municipal Corporation have been finalized, with Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Saroj Kanwar securing a decisive victory. She defeated Congress candidate Salman Mansuri in the electoral contest. Following the polling and subsequent vote counting, the BJP candidate received a total of 89 votes, while her opponent Salman Mansuri secured 58 votes.
Polling Process and Figures
Out of the total 150 corporators in the municipal corporation, 149 exercised their voting rights in this election. Congress corporator Vandita Sharma from ward number 18 chose not to participate in the voting process. During the counting, one vote was declared invalid, and another vote was cast in favor of NOTA. After the tabulation of all votes, officials officially announced the victory of Saroj Kanwar.
