A horrific road accident sent shockwaves through the Raipur Patan area in the Nimkathana region of Sikar district on Saturday night, triggering an angry backlash from local residents. A speeding trailer struck a motorcycle carrying an uncle and his nephew near a local liquor shop. The collision left 12-year-old Mayank Meena and his uncle Sunil Meena with severe injuries. The impact of the crash was so devastating that both sustained grievous wounds on their legs, and Sunil Meena's leg was severed entirely from his body.
According to local accounts, the victims were travelling on a motorcycle when the out-of-control trailer plowed into them. The collision was so forceful that the motorcycle became wedged beneath the heavy vehicle's tires. Sensing the danger and the mounting hostility of the crowd, the trailer driver abandoned the vehicle at the scene and fled into the night. Within minutes, a large crowd of villagers gathered at the site. Enraged by the brutality of the crash, the mob set the trailer on fire. Within moments, the heavy vehicle was engulfed in massive flames, creating an atmosphere of panic and intense tension in the area.
Upon receiving word of the incident, a local police team rushed to the spot alongside a fire brigade. Firefighters battled the blaze for a considerable duration before finally bringing the fire under control. Police inspected the site, gathered crucial evidence, and launched a manhunt to trace the absconding driver. The injured victims were rushed immediately to the Nimkathana District Hospital, where they remain under medical care. The critical condition of Sunil Meena has left his family deeply distressed.
