The victim, identified as Ratan Lal Gurjar, was resting in his residence at Dowani village as part of his usual routine. Late into the night, while he was fast asleep, a dangerous snake slithered into his room and inflicted a severe bite right near his ear. The sharp pain and sudden movement awakened Ratan Lal immediately. Gathering his courage despite the agonizing pain, he raised an alarm and shouted for help to alert his family members sleeping nearby.
Rapid Spread of Poison and Loss of Consciousness
Upon hearing his distressed cries, family members quickly rushed to his room. Unfortunately, because the lethal venom had already circulated extensively throughout his circulatory system, the medical team declared him brought dead. The tragic news left his family members completely devastated.
Locals Hunt the Serpent as Police Undertake Legal Formalities
Following the heartbreaking event, fear and anger swept through Dowani village. Neighborhood residents organized a thorough search around the victim's house and adjacent premises. After considerable effort, the villagers located the hiding serpent and killed it on the spot. Upon receiving information about the casualty, officers from the Kapasan police station arrived at the sub-district hospital.
