Indian Railways has announced the operation of a one-trip special train between Khatipura in Jaipur and Howrah in West Bengal to manage the heavy rush of passengers during upcoming holidays and festive seasons. Traveling via key junctions such as DDU, Gaya, Koderma, Gomo, and Dhanbad, this special service will significantly improve connectivity for commuters moving between Rajasthan, Jharkhand, and West Bengal.
Schedule for Train Number 09709 (Khatipura to Howrah)
According to the railway schedule, train number 09709 Khatipura-Howrah Special will start its journey from Khatipura on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at 17.00 hrs. On the following day, Sunday, it will reach DDU at 09.30 hrs, followed by arrival at Gaya at 12.20 hrs, Koderma at 13.35 hrs, and Dhanbad at 16.00 hrs. Stopping at designated stations along the way, the train will reach its final destination, Howrah, at 22.15 hrs on Sunday night.
Return Journey: Train Number 09708 (Howrah to Khatipura)
For the return trip, train number 09708 Howrah-Khatipura Special will depart from Howrah station at midnight 00.15 hrs on Monday, August 31, 2026. It will arrive in Dhanbad at 06.00 hrs on Monday morning, Koderma at 07.53 hrs, Gaya at 10.35 hrs, and DDU at 14.00 hrs. The train will complete its journey upon reaching Khatipura (Jaipur) on Tuesday morning at 11.30 hrs.
