A heartbreaking road accident in the Bhinmal sub-division of Rajasthan's Jalore district has claimed the lives of a couple, turning festival preparations into mourning. The collision took place near the Aaladi intersection when a high-speed Scorpio SUV crashed into a passenger auto rickshaw. The impact was severe enough to kill the husband and wife on the spot, while leaving two young children and another youth critically injured.
Devastating Impact and Driver Flees Scene
According to eyewitnesses, the collision occurred with such force that the auto rickshaw was tossed into roadside bushes several meters away. Immediately following the crash, the driver of the Scorpio abandoned the vehicle at the spot and escaped from the scene. Local residents who witnessed the collision quickly alerted the local police and initiated rescue efforts. The deceased couple has been identified as Chhagan Devi Bhil and her husband Vardharam Bhil, residents of the Daspan bus stand area in Bhinmal. According to family members and authorities, Chhagan Devi was travelling with her husband and children toward Shivgarh village to tie a Rakhi on her brother's wrist for the festival. However, their journey ended tragically near the Aaladi square before they could reach their destination.

Upon receiving news of the crash, a team from the Bhinmal police station reached the location to secure the area. Officers seized the involved Scorpio vehicle and moved the bodies of the deceased couple to the hospital mortuary for post-mortem examinations.
