Raika Bagh-Rasala Road Crossing C-172 Closed on September 16
According to official details released by the railway administration, the first phase of the track maintenance will begin on Wednesday, September 16. The maintenance operations will take place at level crossing number C-172 (located at km 622/1-2) near the Raika Bagh-Rasala Road overbridge. The work is scheduled to start at 9:00 AM and will continue until 6:00 PM on the same day. During this nine-hour window, the crossing will remain entirely closed to road traffic. Commuters who regularly take this route are advised to plan their journeys in advance and use the alternative path via the Rasala Road overbridge.
Level Crossing C-171 to Remain Closed on September 17
On the following day, Thursday, September 17, another major crossing will undergo repair work. Level crossing number C-171 (located at km 621/6-7) will be shut down for track maintenance from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. All vehicular traffic intended for this route will be completely blocked during these hours. To manage the traffic flow and prevent gridlocks, vehicles will be diverted toward level crossing number 170. The railway administration has emphasized that such routine inspections and structural upkeep are vital for ensuring safety and smooth train movements.
