The Manikpur Patha region in Chitrakoot district of Bundelkhand is widely recognized for its dense forest reserve and historical heritage. While a large number of traditional water sources across the Bundelkhand region run dry during the blistering summer heat, this ancient well has maintained an uninterrupted water supply for a century. Thousands of devotees visiting the temple shrine consume this water daily with deep reverence.

Highlighting the historical significance of the well, local residents Lalit Pandey and Sachin Tripathi noted that the structure stands as one of the area's most cherished traditional assets. Constructed approximately 100 years ago, the well has continuously served the local population without failing. They attributed the perennial nature of the water to the blessings of Goddess Anandi, noting that the water has retained its purity and sacred reputation over generations.
