Industrialist Anant Ambani visited Bageshwar Dham on Friday, where he offered prayers to Balaji Maharaj, took part in a yagya havan and performed a formal puja of 11 kanyas. He also honoured scholarly Brahmins who had come from Varanasi and sought their blessings, and joined the aarti to pray for the nation's welfare, faith and public wellbeing.
Dhirendra Shastri gives him a warm welcome
On his arrival at Bageshwar Dham, Bageshwar Sarkar, that is Dhirendra Krishna Shastri, welcomed Anant Ambani warmly. He was honoured with a mudgar, a baljibi rudraksha mala and an angvastra. On this occasion, Bageshwar Sarkar gave him divine darshan of Shri Bageshwar Balaji Bhagwan, Sanyasi Baba and Pretraj Sarkar, and also explained to him in detail the glory of Bageshwar Balaji Bhagwan and Sanyasi Baba Pretraj Sarkar, which Anant Ambani listened to with great reverence.
Anant Ambani places his plea at Balaji's feet
After the darshan, Anant Ambani placed his arji, or plea, at the feet of Bageshwar Balaji. Following this, Bageshwar Sarkar and Anant Ambani together performed the aarti of Shri Bageshwar Balaji Bhagwan. During this, the two sought the deity's blessings while praying for the welfare of the nation, religion and the public.
Offerings in the yagyashala, worship of kanyas
After the aarti, Anant Ambani and Bageshwar Sarkar went to the yagyashala, where sacred ahutis were offered into the holy fire amid the chanting of Vedic mantras. As per the information available, the scholarly Brahmins who had come from Varanasi were also honoured during this time and their blessings were taken. On this occasion, Anant Ambani performed a formal puja of 11 kanyas, offered them dakshina and received their blessings.

At the end of the programme, Bageshwar Maharaj presented Anant Ambani with a mudgar, a picture of Bhagwan Balaji and a rudraksha mala as mementos.
